SDPD: Vehicle strikes two pedestrians, seriously injuring at least one, in Mountain View
A female suffered a skull fracture and brain bleed after she and another person were struck Wednesday night near 43rd St. and National Ave.
At least one pedestrian sustained serious head wounds when a vehicle struck two people Wednesday night in San Diego’s Mountain View neighborhood, police said.
It happened about 9:20 p.m. near South 43rd Street where National Avenue becomes Logan Avenue, Officer John Buttle said.
Few details of the crash were immediately available, but at least one of the pedestrians — described only as a female — sustained major injuries, including a fractured skull and brain bleed, Buttle said. Medics took her to a hospital for treatment.
Buttle did not the extent of the other person’s injuries nor if that person was taken to a hospital.
The driver stopped at the scene, and the Police Department’s traffic division was investigating the crash, Buttle said. No other details were immediately available.
